I started She Goes Outside because I kept meeting women who wanted to get outside — who used to hike, used to bike, used to feel strong and dirt-under-their-nails alive — and just... stopped. Not because they didn't want to. Because they didn't have anyone to go with.

You never know what you find inside yourself outside. But you have to actually get out the door first, and for a lot of us, that's the hard part. Not the trail. The going.

So on Saturday, August 29, we're doing something about that. Our very first SGO outing: a hike to Sol Duc Falls, followed by a soak in the hot springs. No one goes alone. That's the whole point.

Why This Trail

Sol Duc Falls is one of the most rewarding short hikes on the Peninsula — old growth forest, a waterfall that actually earns the hype, and then the payoff: soaking sore legs in the hot springs afterward. It's the whole SGO philosophy in one day trip. Work for it, then let it hold you.
