We've got answers

Everything you need to know before lacing up your shoes.

Who are these events for? +
She Goes Outside is designed for women of all ages and ability levels — with a special heart for middle-aged and older women who love being outdoors but don't identify as "athletes." If you enjoy walking, exploring, trying new foods, and meeting interesting people, you belong here.
How fit do I need to be? +
Not very! Our hikes are a maximum of 3 miles and our bike rides stay under 10 miles. We choose routes that are scenic and enjoyable, not grueling. We always go at the pace of the group — no one gets left behind.
How do I sign up for an event? +
Each event has a booking link on our Events page that takes you to Eventbrite, where you can register and pay securely. We recommend signing up early — our events often fill up quickly!
What is included in the event price? +
Each event listing on Eventbrite clearly outlines what's included. Typically this covers event organization, guide support, and any planned food or activity stops. Transportation and personal gear are usually not included unless specifically noted.
Can I come alone? +
Absolutely — in fact, most of our members show up solo the first time! Making new friends is one of the best parts of She Goes Outside. You'll be welcomed warmly from the moment you arrive.
What should I bring? +
You'll receive a detailed packing list after you register. In general: comfortable layers, weather-appropriate footwear, water, snacks, and a sense of adventure. We'll always let you know if anything special is needed for a specific event.
Are events held rain or shine? +
We're in the Pacific Northwest — a little rain is part of the charm! Most events run in light rain. In the case of severe weather or safety concerns, we'll communicate clearly via email and offer rescheduling or refunds.
Do you have events outside of Washington State? +
Most of our events are in the Pacific Northwest, but we do occasionally plan adventures to other beautiful destinations. Sign up for our newsletter to be the first to know about special events and out-of-state trips.
What is your cancellation and refund policy? +
Refund and cancellation terms are listed on each Eventbrite event page. In general, we request cancellations at least 7 days before an event for a full refund. We understand life happens and always do our best to work with you.
Can I bring a friend who isn't registered? +
To ensure everyone's safety and a great experience for the group, all participants need to be registered in advance. Please have your friend sign up on Eventbrite — the more the merrier!
